Do you want to prepare for the best pregnancy possible?

Do you want to feel better during your pregnancy?

The best way to have have the most healthy pregnancy possible is to prepare your body in advance. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can help you do that.

If you have been having trouble getting pregnant, you may have been diagnosed as "infertile". A couple is labeled as infertile if they have not become pregnant after one year of unprotected sex. This does not necessarily mean that the couple will never become pregnant - only that the health of the couple has not been optimal for conception.

Often, when the patterns that are related to symptoms are addressed, the couple can become pregnant. Some symptoms that can be related to difficult conception are:

Irregular Menstrual Periods
Feeling Cold or Having Night Sweats
Scanty or Very Heavy Periods
Painful Periods
Stabbing Pain in the Lower Abdomen
Masses or Lumps in the Abdomen
Dark Menstrual Blood with Clots
Cold Lower Back
Low Libido
Erectile Dysfunction
Endometriosis
PCOS
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease

Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can also support if you're going through Assisted Reproduction Protocols.

My pregnant patients must be under the care of a Midwife or Obstetrician. No gynecological/obstetrical exams are done by the acupuncturist.

Chinese Medicine is a complete medical system that is capable of diagnosing and successfully treating a wide range of imbalances occurring during and after pregnancy which may cause a wide variety of symptoms including
:

Do you want your body working optimally during and after your pregnancy?

Acupuncture is especially wonderful during a healthy and comfortable pregnancy. There are many ways to support a pregnant Mama and her Baby including:

Regular Acupuncture Treatments:
Receiving treatment before and during pregnancy give Mama and Baby the best chance to be as strong and healthy as possible. Weekly treatments during the first trimester, monthly treatments during the second trimester, weekly treatments during the third trimester and multiple treatments per week after week 36 are usually suggested. Symptoms and risk factors indicate that more frequent treatments would be beneficial.

Happy Baby Point Treatments:
This treatment is done between each trimester and at the end of pregnancy. It is said to clear toxins that build in the mother's system during the gestational period so they don't affect the baby.

Labor Preparation Treatments:
These treatments start at week 36 and are not "induction" treatments. These treatments will help your body prepare for the best birthing possible. I encourage you to trust your body and your baby.

Postnatal Treatments:
Recover more quickly from giving birth. (But be prepared to stay in bed resting and bonding with your baby for as long as possible!)

Emotional Birth Trauma Treatments:
Emotional trauma can occur during the birth at the hands of a careless provider or just because any normal birthing can lead to unexpected events. Perhaps the birth went "just like it was supposed to" but still felt traumatic. Whatever the reason, if you feel like you've experienced an emotional trauma during or after the birth, treatment should begin as soon as possible.

Newborn Treatments:
Even the healthiest baby experiences the stress of a new environment. Acupuncture and herbs right after birth can support baby's transition into this new world. Newborn treatments are especially important if mom received medications during pregnancy or during the birth (including anti-nausea medications, pain medications, vaccinations), or if an induction or c-section was required.

Mother Roasting Treatments:
This treatment is done at around 4-5 days after the birth to warm and nourish the new mama. Acupuncture soon after birth can help build the mother's system back up after the amazing and challenging experience of giving birth.
